13th March. Sherborne School, Dorset
Keynote presentation: Around the World in 80 Handbags. I will be delivering this speech to 600 pupils aged 13-18 who go to this exclusive private school. My aim will be to inspire these public school pupils to step outside their comfort zone when the opportunity arises. To learn from the people in the world as well as from books, to take responsibility and to reflect back on their own experiences. To tailor this presentation to the 13-18 years olds I will be incorporating more audience participation than ever before by involving the children in spreading my key message, “Life is not about what I own, life is about what I do.”

6th May. Nottingham Book Launch.
‘Thirty Thursday’, 6th April 2010, 6pm Antenna, Nottingham
The Hive, the business incubation part of Nottingham Trent University, runs motivational speeches numerous times a year. Between 2005-2008 I based my business at The Hive in Nottingham and attended numerous ‘Thirsty Thursday’ talks from entrepreneurs who inspired me when I was setting up my business. As such, it is a huge pleasure to be coming back to present my own entrepreneurial business story to date. To tailor my talks to the audience, I will include the highs and lows of all my business ventures to date. This will of course include my 2009 book, ‘Around the World in 80 Handbags’ as well as the 2002 car company I set up, the 2005 MouseMemo product and highlights of my design consultancy work that I have done for other companies including Interfleet, Parajet and Tetley.
The event is aimed at student entrepreneurs and is also open to the public. If you would like more information then please contact me on author(at)80handbags.com
