In January 2007 I headed off around the world alone. I travelled through India, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Los Angeles and New York. On the way I used the ice-breaker of asking strangers what was in their handbags as a way of meeting them.
People often ask what I learnt from the trip, well… I learnt a lot about other people from their possessions. I found that the older people were, the less they carried. In India they had a lot of prayer cars, in America a lot of vitimin pills. For myself, I learnt that life is not about what we own, life is about what we do.
